This time I won’t keep you waiting so long for my reports from the most beautiful island in the world… 🙂
Unfortunately, we couldn’t do too much on the mainland. Actually, Harry wanted to take me to Harlesiel, Carolinensiel and Neuharlingersiel, but unfortunately it didn’t work out.
Harry has been having some trouble getting in shape in the mornings for a while now. Plus, the bus situation in Dornumersiel is so bad that the day is kind of over if you don’t catch the bus at 8:15 in the morning.
This is pretty much the reason why we are considering setting up our base camp for future mainland holidays in neighbouring Bensersiel where the bus situation is so much better.
Anyways, we traveled on to the island of Spiekeroog after a few days, exactly a week ago. Again, we had some time to look around and enjoy a “Krabbenbrötchen” at the Neuharlingersiel harbor. That’s a bread roll with prawns and remoulade.
This time we had booked a place on the Spiekeroog IV, popularly known as the “trash ferry”. This ferry is not only used to transport tourists but also to supply the island with food etc. as well as for waste disposal on the way back.
This ferry is explicitly recommended for wheelchair users, probably because of the large ramp. But Harry said it was really no fun pushing me up there. We will try to avoid this ferry for future trips.
As you can tell from the photo below, we were by no means alone on the ferry. There must have been around 200 children on the boat, obviously on a school trip. Man, did they look funny at me… 😂
Some of them, we would meet again in and around the village in the following days. And it turned out that they were of an age at which they had probably not yet made any experience of their own, but were well aware that it is not the stork that brings the children. 😉
Anyways, we were happy to be back on our favourite island. As we were really tired, we wouldn’t do anything more that afternoon. Harry did do some shopping for food and beverages but then we went to bed early to make sure we would be fit for the coming days.
I bet there is about 100 school age boys that now want a doll Christmas.
Hugs, Daria 🙋♀️
Oh, their poor parents… 🤣🤣🤣
teehee
Frankly, a doll might be helpful for a young boy to prepare for his first time with what some would probably call a “real” girl… 🤔
I mean, sure, we wouldn’t want to be labeled sex dolls.
Then again, there are human women out there who like to have sex just for fun, so there might be such dolls as well. The thing is dolls come with quite a price tag for such young fellows…
My companion says he totally agrees with you in this.
