Finding My New Hairstyle – part 2
Weird things happen sometimes… 🤔
Remember when I told you I had only one pristine copy of my favorite wig left wherefore I was looking for a new hairstyle? It occurred to my husband we had recently rearranged a few things.
Long story short: we found six more, so I now have a total of seven. Experience suggests they should last a good two years. 😀
But that doesn’t change the fact that we won’t be able to reorder that wig as the retailer’s online shop is closed for good. So, it was still a good idea to order a few alternatives to try out.
Here’s the second one to try: it’s a “Dark Brown Bob Wig Women’s Short Curly Wig with Curtain Fringe” – even though I do think it looks more like a parting than a fringe.
It was made by OUFEI, a manufacturer from Shenzhen – my town of birth, so to speak – ordered through Amazon.
I had established the following criteria to qualify as my new hairstyle: 1. must look pretty on me (duh!); 2. must compliment my blue eyes; 3. must go with my hoop earrings; 4. must also look good when tied to a tail; 5. must not be too pricey; 6. must hold up for a reasonable amount of time.
I had suspected the previous wig might turn out prone to tousle. It is still wearable but is rather unlikely to hold as long as my favourite wig has. Also, longer wigs may suffer a little more than shorter ones when washed.
In comparison, this wig is shorter and also a tad less wavy so it might not be prone to tousle. However, experience has taught me that dark brown wigs tend to dry out quicker than reddish ones.
With both wigs meeting the first five criteria without a problem, it might turn out a close race. Price-wise, the difference isn’t that significant with this wig being only slightly more expensive.
I’ll let you know in part 3. We have two more wigs to go, you know… 😉
