Spiekeroog – A Tour of The Island (part 1)
Goodness…! 😯 It has been a month since we returned from Spiekeroog and I have not yet published a report about our stay on the island. The day after our rail, bus and ferry trip to what Harry refers to as the most beautiful island in the world, we started a nice scenic round trip through and out of the village. To find out where the island of Spiekeroog is located, please consult Google Maps. From here forth, please click…
Speaking Spiekeroog…
A fortnight ago, Harry and I went on yet another holiday trip to East Frisia which would lead us to the island of Spiekeroog and Dornumersiel on the mainland. We started out with our fourth trip together to Spiekeroog which, unfortunately, might also turn our last. There are two reasons making it unlikely that I … Continue reading Speaking Spiekeroog…
Spiekeroog Cut Short
As you may remember, we have had some bad luck with our holiday plans with Harry collapsing on a tram a year ago and him twisting his ankle last November. This time, it was bronchitis that my lovely husband contracted on the island of Spiekeroog which forced us to cut our holiday short. 😢 On … Continue reading Spiekeroog Cut Short
Spiekeroog Sunset’s Fine
🎼 As long as I gaze on Spiekeroog sunset, I am in paradise. 🎵 Harry never takes me out with my wheelie on the last day before our journey home. (Last year with Ludovica in Greetsiel was an exception.) That’s because in case something happens to my wheelie, he just wants to be sure he … Continue reading Spiekeroog Sunset’s Fine
So Long, Spiekeroog…
The saddest day of a holiday trip is always the day of the journey home. Which is actually a bummer because all enjoyable things should end on a positive note, such as an encore at the end of a concert. But I guess there is no way when it comes to holiday trips and I … Continue reading So Long, Spiekeroog…
Spiekeroog, here I come!
It’s almost two weeks that Harry and I returned from our holiday trip to Spiekeroog – about time to publish some reviews. And what a beautiful island this is, folks…! Originally, we had planned to spend seven days at mainland East Frisia before traveling to the island. But on the tram that would bring us to Hanover main station, Harry collapsed. You can’t imagine the scare my lovely husband gave me. I was so glad when we made it back…
Ferry ‘Cross The North Sea
🎼 …’cause this land’s the place I love and here I’ll stay. ⛴️ Well, Harry and I are working on the latter but it has proven to be really difficult to find a place to live permanently up in East Frisia. Accordingly, we had to travel back home last April at the end of a … Continue reading Ferry ‘Cross The North Sea
On to Spiekeroog…
This time I won’t keep you waiting so long for my reports from the most beautiful island in the world… 🙂 Unfortunately, we couldn’t do too much on the mainland. Actually, Harry wanted to take me to Harlesiel, Carolinensiel and Neuharlingersiel, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. Harry has been having some trouble getting in … Continue reading On to Spiekeroog…

Father-Daughter Day at Spiekeroog
About time to continue my reports from our holiday to the island of Spiekeroog back in April. Understandably, my lovely husband wanted to spend one day hiking through the dunes to the east of the village. Unfortunately, there are no paved paths there, so I wouldn’t be able to go there with my wheelchair. Well, … Continue reading Father-Daughter Day at Spiekeroog
